Emma Carr has purchased into Clendon Residences in Toorak.

Emma Carr, the ex-model and swimmer former wife to celebrity manager Ralph Carr, has splashed $6.95m on a Toorak penthouse.

Ms Carr competed in Olympic Trials and Pan Pacific Games events as a swimmer before a shoulder injury ended her professional career. She is now a director of Empower Tactical self-defence club where she is an aikido and Kung fu coach.

Mr Carr has represented singers from Tina Arena to Vanessa Amorosi and Kate Ceberano, as well as working with sports stars like the AFL’s Dustin Martin.

The pair separated in 2018, with their impressive Shakespeare Grove, Hawthorn, mansion selling the following year for $9.6m.

Industry sources have now outed Ms Carr as the buyer of an off-the-plan apartment at developer PB & Co’s Clendon Residences project on Clendon Rd, Toorak.

The firm’s president Michael Pesochinsky would not speak to the purchaser, but confirmed a $6.95m sale at the project that he believed had set a $31,591 a square metre record for three-bedroom apartments sold off the plan in the ritzy suburb.

“Clendon Road is lined with multimillion-dollar mansions that nearly never come to market, so Clendon Residences is an incredibly rare opportunity to acquire a Clendon Road address

and the only apartment offering in this prestigious street,” Mr Pesochinsky said.

The remaining apartments in the development start from $6m, with floorplans covering a minimum of 215sq m.

The sale reportedly set a square metre record for the suburb.

The contemporary-style homes blend marble surfaces, oak timber floors and Gaggenau appliances, with the complex to be surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Near neighbours include business bigwigs Allen Myer, Paul Little and David Smorgan.

Carver Real Estate director Matt Carver is handling inquiries for the remaining homes.
